​Peacock feathers are a challenge to embroider. I use over twenty shades of silk thread to recreate that iridescent effect. Each feather is stitched in layers, and since it’s double-sided, every thread end has to be hidden perfectly. It takes patience—about a month per fan—but the result is worth it.​​
